2018/19 Race Schedule
Yukon Quest 1000
After many years of racing in 200 and three hundred mile events, and numerous runs in the Yukon Quest 300 mile race, team Tukaway will be participating in our first 1000 mile Yukon Quest! This race is known to be the hardest sled dog race in the world. It will travel from Whitehorse, Yukon Territory and finish in Fairbanks, Alaska. It is a historic trail where many dog musher's use to travel and deliver freight to remote regions of the north. Running on this trail is truly a step back in time to an era full of simplicity and hardship. The trail is known for it's remoteness, extreme cold, giant mountains, and one's ability to travel through the wild of some of the roughest country on the planet. We have been training for the past four years to compete in this event, and can not wait to begin our rookie run on this historic trail!
